Thanks for coming to the Arts in YOT South West Symposium

We agreed that you could add material to this site as soon as you receive your username and password. Nick Gornall will send this to you soon. It would be great to be able to look at what people have published and take suggestions and identify any difficulties by 24th April. We can then decide how to move on with this website.

Why did people come to the Symposium

Here are some of the reasons that people gave for coming to the Symposium

  • to find ideas and inspiration for using the arts when working with young people
  • looking for creative, effective, relevant, meaningful, radical, young people centered practice
  • networking – therapeutic tools/ engagement – inspiration – develop practice
  • looking to continue using the arts and creativity as a tool for inspiring and connecting with young people
  • to discuss funding possibilities for future projects
  • get an idea of what’s going on elsewhere
  • gain ideas of different ways of working with young people and their families
  • to find better ways to promote the creativity of the young people that I work with
  • get ideas for how to use Art in our R J and reparation. I’m doing some but want more ideas
